3. Un-pack and assemble your landscape lighting fixtures. Coat each of the lamp sockets with a lithium grease to ensure your connection points will last the test of time. Place each fixture at it’s designated location as per the lighting design and marker flags.
4. Roll out your lighting wire “main runs” start from the transformer location and go to each of the hub locations as marked on your lighting plan and with marker flags.
Tip: Be sure to Label and Mark each main run with a wire marker or colored tape to help you remember where each run goes, the distance and wattage on each run, as listed on your lighting plan wiring diagram.
5. Start laying the cable for your hub runs by laying cable from the hub location (as marked on your plan and with the marker flags) to the fixture location, be sure to leave an additional
five feet of cable at each fixture location to ensure you have enough cable for fixture movement and future growth of trees.
Tip: Don't bury the wire until everything is assembled and you have properly finished testing each connection and fixture for both voltage at lamp and good connections that are working properly and the system has been aimed at night time to ensure correct fixture locations, then the next day you can bury the
cables.
