Installation. p4

9. Test each fixture on each wire run one at a time using a voltage meter ensure you have between 10.8 & 11.9 Volts at each fixture. If your voltage is over 12.2 volts you may want to change your main line run at the transformer to a lesser output tap on the unit. Example would be if you had hooked it up to the 13.5 volt tap and when you use your voltmeter at your fixture it reads 12.8 volts, and this would cause your lamp life to shorten dramatically. So you would simply move it to the 12.5 volt tap and then your volt meter when tested at the fixture would read 11.8 which is a perfect voltage for any landscape lighting system.
10. Make any adjustments to the aiming and direction of the fixtures during the evening.
Tip: When everything is working right, bury lighting fixture bases, cables and connection hubs.
